Your children must be wearing tennis shoes or dance shoes in class. They will not be allowed to attend class in their socks or bare feet. It is very dangerous and a liability risk for myself and the Artisan’s Courtyard. There are no street shoes allowed in the studio and I would recommend you have a flat bottom sneaker or dance sneaker that doesn’t stick when they turn. This is hip hop and Zumbatomic so you want to give your kids good support to bounce around on. Please don’t send them to class in ballet shoes. There is a great selection of dance sneakers available now that I didn’t have when I was younger. If you Google dance apparel or dance shoes you will find many websites to choose from. I have posted a picture below so you can see the type of sole that is best for them. You certainly don’t have to purchase new dance sneakers or dance shoes. They can wear whatever sneakers are most comfortable for them as long as they are clean and they are not wearing their street shoes, dress shoes, boots, sandals etc. I would suggest my students dress in light, airy clothing that they can freely move in. I really want the kids to feel free to express themselves. Just please no bellies or booty’s exposed. There is a wonderful window for the parents to watch their kids during class so please, I ask that only the students be in the room so there are no distractions.
